Prop trading merchant accounts.

Evaluation fees and funded-trader programs sit between retail SaaS and brokerage in the eyes of an underwriter. The acquirers that say yes are the ones who understand the model. We know which ones they are.

The acquiring reality

What actually decides your file.

Classification is not automatic

Not every prop-firm model is coded like a broker. The MCC depends on what the cardholder actually buys (an evaluation service, education, or brokerage access) and the acquirer makes the determination. Expect the underwriter to look hard at your terms and payout mechanics.

Refunds and chargebacks decide the file

Failed-challenge refund requests and does-not-recognize disputes are the dispute profile of this vertical. Clear pre-purchase terms, visible refund rules and a recognizable descriptor carry most of the defense.

You are not a regulated broker, and that matters

A prop firm trading firm capital is a different underwriting conversation from a CySEC or FCA brokerage holding client money. Positioning the model accurately, with the documents to prove it, is what gets the file approved.

How we place it

The BZNpay playbook for prop trading.

01

Model documentation

Terms of the evaluation, refund policy, payout mechanics and jurisdiction restrictions, packaged the way underwriters review them.

02

Dispute-control evidence

Consent logs, clear descriptors and refund UX documented before the first chargeback, not after.

03

Specialist matching

Acquirers in the network whose policies cover the funded-trader model explicitly, by market and volume.

Prepare your file

What partners typically ask prop trading merchants for.

  • Evaluation terms and refund policy
  • Payout mechanics documentation
  • Country restriction list
  • UBO declarations
  • Processing history if any

Send what you have; we tell you plainly what is missing. KYB documents are requested after qualification, through a secure channel, and underwriting decisions rest with the acquiring partner.

Prop Trading questions.

Do acquirers treat prop firms like forex brokers?

Not automatically. A prop firm selling evaluations is a different model from a regulated broker holding client funds, and the MCC assignment depends on the transaction and the acquirer’s determination. The underwriting conversation turns on your terms, refund policy, payout mechanics and jurisdiction restrictions.

What should a prop firm prepare before applying?

Company incorporation documents, UBO declarations, financials, your evaluation terms and refund policy, payout mechanics, any country restrictions you enforce, and your processing history if you have one. A clean dispute record moves terms more than anything else.

What terms should a prop firm expect?

In our catalogue, brokerage-coded merchants under 6211 typically carry 0.5 to 5% MDR IC++ with rolling reserves of 5 to 15%, but prop-firm classification varies by model and the final code and terms are set by the acquirer. Treat any range as indicative, not a quotation.
